Drone Aerial Surveys
Fast, Detailed and Accurate. Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) provide an alternative tool that can be used in place of traditional survey and mapping methods for some unique projects. UAVs are being used more extensively across a range of disciplines, including the field of mapping and surveying. Sometimes referred to as aerial surveys, UAVs (unmanned aerial system) surveys, or drone surveys are an increasingly popular method of surveying form the air. Drone surveys are a faster, safer and more cost-efficient way to survey at height.
The drone survey services is an addition to our existing portfolio of service and equipment used to provide survey information to clients and we are incorporating this technology into our established professional services. AAMS offers its client the perfect solution to get up-to-date imagery and aerial data essential for professional photogrammetry.
AAMS operate a fleet of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) that can safely and quickly capture the data that an organisation needs; whether this is high-resolution photo mapping, 3D models, point clouds, inspection and surveying data. Drone surveying is significantly cheaper than traditional surveying and inspection methods. At AAMS, we provide a unique blend of aerial mapping and land planning expertise to produce detailed site assessment, terrain modelling, roof inspections and aerial photography services in the UK and abroad.
UAV Aerial Lidar Surveys
Using multi-rotor technology equipped with a state of art UAV LiDAR sensors, AAMS carry out airborne LiDAR surveys by utilises the latest technology including Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), to survey areas which may be impractical or costly to survey with conventional technology. The advantages of Drone aerial surveys include reduced costs, increased reaction time and best value solutions when combined with the flexibility of conventional methods. Low level LiDAR surveys using specialist heavy lift UAV’s equipped with high accuracy LiDAR sensors enables us to penetrate vegetation and produce Digital Terrain Models which is very often unachievable with conventional photogrammetry methods. AAMS also offer Drone Inspection services on all objects that are difficult to reach due to their height or unsafe access.
Our team are fully qualified to undertake any survey project locally or internationally, our UAV pilots are professionally trained, experienced surveyors and CAA licensed to operate in the UK. We also operate overseas.
Applications for UAV aerial LiDAR surveys include:
We are fully registered with the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and hold a ‘Permission for Commercial Operations Certificate’. We are fully insured and pride ourselves on providing a professional and reliable service.
